Cynics Point Of View (CPOV)!

To what extent is Iraq a war for oil? from www.grist.org

McCain: 'I think it has a big impact. It's not just Iraq oil, it's the whole region and the stability in the region. And the stable supply of oil obviously gives it a higher national-security priority. What I don't interpret that to mean is that I think we went to war for oil, but it's certainly a factor in our national-security equation'.

CYNIC: The lead to that answer says a lot about the reason why McCain support the Iraqi invasion and says volumes on why Obama opposed the war. He could see through McCain and Bush real motif! McCain support for the Iraq war is enough disaster! Doing so (to a large extent) because of the ‘big impact’ of oil on USA national security is a calamity that tips the scale and boarders on SINING. Only heartless people like W. Bush and J. McCain could foist such avoidable monstrous mayhem on the world. It is a clear sign to perceptive minds that, like Bush, McCain would love to show the world he is a no-nonsense leader who will prey on any smaller nation that have what USA needs! Rest assured that a McCain lead government would attack Iran! It must not be allowed.

John’s equivocation in the quote above is testament to his years in Washington. America does not joke with national security. If McCain sees oil as having ‘big impact’ on USA national security negatively, I beg to differ on his ‘What I don't interpret that to mean is that I think we went to war for oil’, pure and simple, McCain went to war in Iraq because he believe Iraqi oil is a matter of USA national security and was willing, not only to kill, every and anyone that stands in his way but also sacrifice the precious lives of fellow Americans!.
One would have thought that with McCain war experience, he would be wary of war rather he has become the exponential preacher of war. His stand on Iran, Russia and North Korea support such stand on the side of CYNIC. The world cannot afford another Bush in McCain swathe that would go to war for oil, no matter how justified their reasons.
